Free Lease Offered: MCG Secret Agent Man (Futuritys Macho Man X LPS Secret Affair) is a beautiful 18-year-old registered Morgan gelding looking for a special home where he can be a companion and/or light riding/driving horse.
Sam stands 14.3 hands and is chestnut trimmed in white. He looks half his age, has fabulous conformation and a crawl in your pocket personality. He has brought infinite joy to my life over the past eight years as we first enjoyed a show career in Classic Pleasure before changing gears to learn Dressage together and spend time exploring Maine trails.
Due to leg injuries over the past year, Sam needs to retire from an active training schedule sooner than anticipated. I am therefore looking for a home where he can bring joy to someone who wishes to do some light easy trail riding or driving after having some time off. He requires an experienced lightweight (140 pound max) rider because like most Morgans, Sam has energy and may test you from time to time, but is willing and eager. He can, however, be driven by a novice and is sporty enough for an advanced whip. Sam is extremely well trained and has even had some Natural Horsemanship work. His ground manners are impeccable, and he absolutely adores any type of "hands on" attention.
Sam is a very easy keeper. He has no special dietary requirements, is neat in his stall, and gets along with other horses in any kind of turnout situation. He clips, bathes, ties and trailers like a dream, and is well behaved for vet/farrier/dentist. He could possibly live in a run-in or stall-to-paddock situation three seasons, but would require a stall during winter months.
The ideal situation would be an open -ended free lease with contract. I want to remain part of Sam's life so will retain papers and would always take him back if issues arise. I'd like to be able to visit on occasion, and am willing to be responsible for certain routine expenses (e.g., annual vaccinations, dental and farrier work).
Willing to consider homes with the New England states, with a preference given to Maine. Must be able to check at least two references, including one from your veterinarian.
