Horse Rescue, Horses with Hope

Giving Horses Hope in Maine

Aziza- Arabian gelding

Aziza joins us for training from Gerda’s Equine Rescue. This 15 hh, 7 year old Arabian gelding was rescued in January of 2022 from a kill pen along with Rafiq. He has most recently been fostered in Vermont, and is ready to begin his under saddle training. As with every horse, we will be taking it from the ground up with Aziza, and have begun with an introduction to groundwork, ground driving, and ponying off another horse. Aziza is comfortable with tack and has had a rider on his back. However, he will need further education and physical conditioning before he is ready for much more riding work. We will post more updates on Aziza’s progress as they become available.
