Horse Rescue, Horses with Hope

Giving Horses Hope in Maine

Banker’s Vault- Standardbred Gelding

Banker’s Vault, “Banks” is a 5 year old Standardbred gelding who joins us for training from Futures for Standardbreds. Banks is a handsome boy who showed no interest in harness racing, but was fortunate to enter into the FFS program where he learned some basic groundwork and had tack and a rider introduced. During his several months with us thus far, we have continued to instill a solid foundation of work in hand, while mixing in rides at the walk and trot in our indoor and outdoor arenas. Banks has lovely, relaxed gaits and we could see him making someone a lovely riding prospect in future. He will canter on a line or in the roundpen and displays a lot of athletic ability.

We are excited to watch this young Standardbred progress in his training! Please stay tuned for more updates as we get to know Banks.
