2004 Quarter Horse
Jackson is a chestnut Quarter Horse gelding purchased at the New Holland Auction in May 2016. We were told he was a cutting horse, neck reins and primarily used as a western pleasure horse. . He is rather quiet and seems very business oriented. Charlie has been helping him to loosen us and is teaching him how to enjoy being a horse. Part of the rehabilitation process is to allow them to be in a more natural environment with plenty of turn out and down time in between work. Jackson is approximately 14.3hh with an almost roan look to his chestnut coat. He is quickly becoming a favorite amongst the farm crew.

Update: Jackson has officially been adopted. When the Vincent’s originally applied for Charlie they knew they would need two horses. They came out to meet Charlie and Jackson and fell in love immediately. (It was during their second trip out to the farm when they met Tommy.) While Charlie was all ready for a new home, we still wanted to check more items off of Jackson’s “to do” list before sending him on his way. So Charlie and Tommy headed to Turner, Maine first, waiting for their friend Jackson to complete his reconditioning.Before each horse leaves Horses with Hope to be with their forever family, we like to make sure that they have a set of skills completed. Some items on this checklist include experiencing the obstacles, trail rides on and off site, etc. Once a horse has experienced these elements, then they are able to more forward with the process of being adopted.Jackson has now finished his resume and is able to join his two field buddies, Charlie and Tommy.In the meantime, the Vincent’s also had a wedding and so this horse endeavor is now a multi-family affair.Congratulations to the Vincent’s and the Lavertu’s for adopting these three amazing horses.
