Leo is an 18 year old, 15.2 hh Quarter horse gelding, with us for training from the MSSPA. He arrived at the MSSPA as a stallion, and has since been gelded. He has previously been ridden, and arrived at Horses with Hope in May 2023 to get some more miles under saddle.
Leo is very sweet, with more woah than go. His ideal home would be with someone who wants to hit the trails and will only turn him out with other geldings. He is a good, low-maintenance citizen and would be a great addition to anyone’s barn!
UPDATE: Leo has been adopted! In October 2023, Leo joined fellow MSSPA alumni Amir and Tripp at Reigning Hope Ranch in Orrington, Maine. Here he will participate in the ranch’s Equine Assisted Psychotherapy programs, in addition to a few weekly lessons and low key trail rides. We are thrilled that Leo has joined such a wonderful community and wish him and his new farm family many happy years together.
