Stella is an adorable mini mule mare that is with us for evaluation and training from Gerda’s Equine Rescue. Stella was pulled from a kill pen in 2021, and not much is known about her history. Though this little mare hasn’t had the best start in life, she lucked out by ending up in the caring hands of the staff at GER. Though we are still getting to know Stella, upon initial evaluation she is timid but sweet. We are working on teaching Stella that humans can be good. We are excited to see Stella blossom in a safe environment as she gains trust in people. Stay tuned for more updates as Stella progresses!
In April 2022, sweet Stella found her new home! She will be a companion to a mini and a full size mare, and will be staying right here in Maine. We wish Stella and her new family many years of happiness together! Congratulations.
