Smokey is a 6-year-old blue roan gelding joining us for training from the MSSPA in August 2025. Smokey is very sweet with a good foundation both on the ground and carrying a rider that we are looking forward to building on! He does have heaves and although the MSSPA had it well-managed this winter, Smokey experienced a flare-up shortly before coming to Horses with Hope. We are working on getting him breathing a bit better before we ask too much of him! Stay tuned for updates!
