Millie is a 5 year old miniature mare, joining us for training from Home at Last Farm in New Hampshire in July 2025. Millie arrived here with her mother Aspen and her presumed brother, Charlie. The three of them were taken out of the auction pipeline in 2020 and have been in foster care in the meantime, and are now going to start their journeys to finding their forever homes! We are only just getting to know Millie, and she has already proven to be very sweet and very bold! We will share more updates here as we get to know her!
October 2025 update: Millie is proving to be a pretty straightforward, confident little mare! She is rather low-key, and will be perfectly suited to life as a companion. She gets along well with her herd mates and would much prefer to hang out with her handler and get scratched on the withers than run around with her friends. She will be a great addition to someone’s barn!
UPDATE: Millie has been adopted! In a truly heartwarming close to this chapter, Millie joined her mom Aspen who was adopted several months ago by a wonderful family here in Maine. The pictures of their reunion in their new adoptive home are amazing, and we can’t thank Lori enough for opening her home to these two mini mares. Wishing everyone many happy years together, and congratulations!
