This dapper elderly gentleman comes to us from NEER North. He recently spent two months with the crew at Abenaki Farm in NH, who report that he is wonderful with kids and would be a great companion pony. He gets along with both mares and geldings, and still has plenty of spark left in him! If you didn’t know he was 28, you would swear he was still a youngster. Splash has good ground manners, does well with obstacles, stands to be groomed, and is well mannered for the vet and farrier. Due to his age we do not think he would be suitable for riding, but he would make a great addition to any family as a fantastic companion. This sweet gelding has an “in your pocket” personality and would follow you around all day if he could!
UPDATE: In December 2020, Splash was adopted as a special Christmas present for a little boy. Lucky Splash now has his own family of children to play with, along with several mares who were in need of a steady companion. We know that Splash will get all of the treats and attention he deserves, and we’re thrilled that he’ll be spending his days with children he adores. Congratulations, little guy!
